Hamedan wire and cable industries co. was established by the private sector in 1982 due to the local industrial needs, and has began to produce wire and cable in its factory in Hamedan. Covering an area of 8 hectares, 25000 m² buildings and by utilizing modern machinery, the factory manufactures a wide range of low-voltage power cables and telecommunication wires and cables according to the Iranian national Standards and other international Standards.
By implementing the national development schedules and using new machinery, the factory can now manufacture 35600 tons of wires and cables per year.
In PVC compounding mixing unit, produces 15000 tons of different types of PVC granules per year.
In copper rod production Section by using machinery made by Upcast Co. of Finland produces 7500 tons of 8 mm oxygen free copper rod per year.
The other important upcoming in hand projects will produce LAN cables (Local Area Network ) and medium to high-voltage power cables which will soon enter to the range of products of the company.
It is evident that physical development and improving the quality of products will not be possible without a comprehensive management. For this purpose, the company has implemented the integrated management system (ISO 9001:2008), environmental management system ( ISO 14001:2004) and the professional health and safety management system (OHSAS 18001:2007) .
Mean while the laboratory of the company has established Lab management systems (ISO/IEC 17025) and now is the accredited lab of Iranian national institute of Standards in Hamedan province.
